Build your own home air purifier at affordable cost.

Life is a journey where each day is a milestone if we learn from it. We should gather experiences and share them. Knowledge is power and power when shared brings empowerment. It holds potential to bring changes in lives of other. I am staying in Delhi and had often made local trips which tought me few lessons. This trip was for buying air purifier for my home.
Air quality in delhi is the worst. PM 2.5 particles level is always above 350 for which healthy level recommended by WHO is 60. While State and central government will take their time to come up with solution, we residents of delhi are inhaling the toxic air helplessly.

Note: We have tried household experiment. We dont sale this product. We do not claim any quality of air.

This is how company's purifier look like.

While searching for air purifiers to buy online, we came across a start up named Smartair which is providing the filters at the lowest cost in the market which was 3995 and around 7000.

Original 2.0 DIY Air Purifier

Basically air purifier which is being sold in the market is the HEPA filter and a fan which pushes air through HEPA. This is tested by these companies which makes your room environment healthy.

We decided to build our own purifier with the same technique. Only concern for building a purifier was maximum air should pass through HEPA and there should be minimal leakage of air.
Our search for fan brought us to Surya Beachair exhaust fan with 1300rpm 39W.  Fan costed us 900 rupees on retail shop.

How to build your Purifier ?

Take Surya Beachair exhaust fan (1300rpm 39W)

Place HEPA(size: 14 inch) along with prefilter on this side. Use nylon string and pack it tightly. See following images of our purifier.

We bought HEPA filter (size: 14 inch) which comes with prefilter from smart air from smartair which is available online. You can buy it from their workshop in Lado Sarai or you can order it online from their website
